Introducing London Campus
Student life in London
“London is truly amazing; the city is very multicultural and full of opportunities. The sky’s the limit!”

Student committees and clubs
As a Glion London student, you will automatically become part of our Student Government Association (SGA), where you can make your voice heard, organize committees and events and take part in the leadership of the school.
Our students also run a number of specialist committees, dedicated to the culinary arts, the environment, the oenology and more.
Joining a committee will allow you to explore your creativity and personal interests, while developing leadership and management skills by organizing events.
Examples include the Culinary Arts Committee, which organises gourmet dinners in renowned restaurants; the Green Committee, which has a mission is to raise environmental awareness both on campus and in the local community; and the Wine Committee, a learning platform allowing its members to increase their knowledge of wines and spirits and hosting tasting sessions on campus.
The Glion Ambassador Program
The Glion Ambassador Program supports students in developing and improving their leadership skills; which in turn strengthens future employability.
Selected each semester by Student Affairs, our Ambassadors aim to improve student life through peer-to-peer support, organizing events and activities on campus, while also representing the school during open days and VIP visits.
Any Glion student can apply to become an Ambassador, with Ambassadorships available across all academic semesters taught in London.
Eta Sigma Delta Honor Society
Eta Sigma Delta International Hospitality Management Society (ESD) is an international honor society for hospitality students. The organization recognizes the excellent performance of hospitality students in academics, professionalism, and service to the community. The professional benefits of Eta Sigma Delta include an opportunity for outstanding students to distinguish themselves in the eyes of educators, recruiters, and industry executives in an increasingly competitive industry.
Life in a global capital
As the only Swiss hospitality school with a London campus, we offer the opportunity to study in the city regularly ranked the world’s number one destination for international students.
What makes London so special? Too much to list here, but 250 festivals each year, plus around 70 Michelin-starred restaurants and more than 120 five-star hotels, not to mention world-class culture and sports, make this a truly epic destination for those seeking a rich social life.
Aside from London, the UK offers strikingly diverse places and cultures to explore, from the rocky shores and lakes of Scotland to the sandy beaches and resort towns of the southern coast.
You may not have time to discover it all, but a few weekend trips are enough to see some stunning scenery.
Our campus: the best of both worlds
Although self-contained within the impressive, Grade II listed Georgian-era Downshire House, Glion London benefits from sharing facilities with our host, the University of Roehampton (UoR).
The university has more than 10,000 students, with 140 nationalities represented.
There are some 60 student-led clubs and organizations to get involved with, while Glion students can also make use of the university’s world-class library, with its 1,200 seats, high speed Wi-Fi and quiet study floor.
For those who want to stay fit and active, there’s access to the full range of sporting activities offered by UoR, with many different student-organized clubs available and state-of-the-art facilities – giving everyone the chance to play a sport they enjoy.
Activities change every semester, while Glion students also run their own sports club.
