A dozen years after graduating from Glion, proud Parisian Laetitia Dreux has decided to change career course and launch a real estate investment advisory business. We caught up with her to discover more…
A head for figures served Laetitia Dreux well during a 12-year career in the hospitality business which followed her graduation from Glion.
Having majored in Finance & Revenue Management, she held various finance-related positions, including Chief Financial Officer at two upscale hotels in her native Paris – the Hyatt Paris Madeleine and Le Royal Monceau Raffles Paris.
“I felt fulfilled and have grown enormously both personally and professionally in the world of hospitality, which I really enjoyed,” she explains. “However, I had come to a point where I felt that I had reached all the challenges I had set for myself – including the ones from my graduation. Also, I wanted to find a professional and personal life balance!”

That meant a switch from hospitality into pastures new. But where? The answer was to turn a sideline in real estate investing into the focus of a new entrepreneurial adventure.
“During the past decade I had personally invested in several real estate projects. With this enriching experience behind me – and to fulfill my quest for change – I decided to launch my investment advisory business CLOTEE.”
As with luxury hospitality, Laetitia sees the benefits of a bespoke and highly personalized approach to real estate investment.
For CLOTEE’s clients, she has devised a three-step approach to delivering this:
1. Define the investor’s objective and study his/her personal situation (age, income, etc.)
2. Find the optimal investment in the right location
3. Propose the most profitable project that corresponds best

“This research, study and accompanying advice is totally free for the investor. I am mainly compensated by the promoters and brokers with whom I have signed partnerships that allow a great coverage of estates across France. Investments from abroad, especially for expatriates, are definitely possible with a digital and dematerialized process,” she adds.
It’s a big change from running the finances of a luxury hotel; but Laetitia feels well prepared by both her education and her subsequent professional experience. Indeed, when asked for the defining personal trait she acquired from her time at Glion, she replies “definitely it’s adaptability”!
